Hand Made First Birthday Love

The baby was the recipient of this amazing quilt made by one of his aunts for his birthday. Hubby and I are thrilled that both the boys' aunts make them things. I'm certain that he will grow to love this as much (or more) as I do.
I love all the fabrics she chose! And I recognize one of them, the backing, as one I used in some things I made for her son when he was born! Nice to know we have the same taste...
She also made another amazing quilt for the toddler before he was born. He was a bit jealous, so I pulled it out this morning and explained to him that his aunt had made him a special blanket too when he was little. He snuggled up with it right away.
