A friend of mine came by last week for an evening to borrow my spinning wheel, and since I only own three bobbins, I figured that I needed to empty them for her. I spent one evening spinning and plying and came up with two skeins of yarn. I'm calling one of them my random fiber skein; it's all the random fiber single from my last spinning class plied with a couple of ounces of tencel/merino blend. I have know idea what I will do with it. For the time being it's hanging in the dining room so I can look at it and mull it over. It may need to become a bag as there's no way anyone would want to wear some of those fibers. Any other ideas?
It's been rather busy here; hence the no posts for a week. My dad came to visit over last weekend. Many hours of work went into the bathroom. And I'm happy to announce that we officially moved into it yesterday. I promise to post about it soon.
I also spent several hours making more curtains for hubby's studio. He needed panels for the shooting room that matched the ones I made for his office. I ended up going with 43 inch wide muslin and making him 8 double thick panels. That meant 16 43 inch rolled hems and 48 button holes.
Hubby is hosting a workshop at the studio this week. Zack Arias is here doing the One Light Workshop. He's staying with us as well, and we've all enjoyed his company. As an added bonus, his presence really motivated me; I don't think this house has ever been this clean! The workshop is today, so I'm certain that the older boys will arrive home late and tired.
