The Hoover blanket is finally finished! And to tell you the truth, it is so fresh off the needles that I haven't even measured it or woven in the two ends I have left.
It should measure around 40 by 36 inches. I used Blue Sky's Organic Cotton on size 9 needles. The blanket sucked up 10 skeins of yarn and several months of knitting time. I really enjoyed this pattern, and while it was not a quick knit, it was a relatively easy one. Don't let the double knit scare you; it was much easier in this pattern than I thought it would be. I feel prepared to take on more difficult double knitting at some point now.
I'm thrilled to have it finished! And it is done just in time for some very important photos...
YAHOO!!!! What a freeing feeling *that* must be!!

Posted by: Tamy ~ 3 Sides of Crazy at August 9, 2008 09:04 PMYAY!!!! It looks wonderful - the little guy is sure to love it. I predict that in 17 years he'll be taking the tattered remnants with him to his first days of college (but by then it will be more of a brownish-grey color...)
Congratulations!
