This was lunch one day last week. Peanut butter stuffed french toast on whole wheat bread topped with warm, fresh strawberry jam. It really hit the spot, but was probably more work than I should be doing right now.
I'm not usually one to have big time pregnancy cravings, but the past week has had me nightly bemoaning the lack of do-nuts at our house. I'm also in dire "need" of chocolate cake with butter cream frosting and the salmon sandwich at the Blue Moose. When I was pregnant before I ate gobs of homemade ice cream; we actually bought cream at Costco and became practiced at adding in yummy stuff like chocolate chips and Reese's.
This time around, in addition to having actual food cravings, I'm also craving time to work in my studio and the ability to vacuum my own floors and clean my own bathroom. I'm finding that I spend all of the time I would normally have had to do these things with my feet propped up. It's making it really hard to get things done that I want to do and had planned on getting done. It's also making it really hard to meet my need for a creative outlet.
Now, I'm off to search for a do-nut. Or maybe something else that doesn't require anyone to leave the house.
