Spring?

We had some decidedly spring-like weather a couple of weeks ago, and the toddler and I took advantage of it. We headed out front with the side-walk chalk that he'd gotten for Christmas. Just like his Mama, he seems to really like drawing.

And then there was today. Easter Sunday didn't feel like Easter at all this year. It was cold and gray this morning and we had flurries with sunshine this afternoon. To top the weather, I'm sick. Again. I thought I was just about over my cold, but I seem to have gotten another one.

The washer was fixed on Thursday, but began leaking from the cold water intake inside the machine yesterday on only the third load I had run. Please, if you see me, pardon the mismatched clothes and/or the smell. The irate, pregnant, sick, mommy (that would be me...) called Sears around 8:30 last night and after four regular scheduling people and two phone calls, gave up on ever talking to a supervisor. They'll be back on Tuesday. And I bet I have to argue with them about paying for the repair. I think the thing that is most frustrating about it is the fact that we bought a top of the line Kenmore because we thought it would last for a long time. Our experience had been that we could trust Sears for repairs. I guess some things have changed.

Hubby's parents joined us for Easter dinner tonight. His dad helped us move the toddler's new dresser into his room. All his furniture is here now, I just have to finish his curtains before we can move him downstairs. And I'm just plain too sick to do it tonight, too tired, too achy, and too pregnant to keep going after 8 pm. Having a cold while pregnant is cruel and unusual punishment. Then not having a washer for almost two weeks. Well, you try not need clean clothes several times a day when you're coughing at 7 1/2 months! ;)

There are definitely signs that spring is on its way: the bulbs are peeking up and some days it's warm enough to go play at the park in a jacket. But it's still too cold for me to say it's actually here. Hope your Easter was Springy-er than ours.

Sorry you're still dealing with the sick-thing. I remember deciding while I was pregnant that not only did all my brain cells go to the baby, but my immunities as well....Hopefully the washer repair on Tuesday will be the last...
We've got crocuses, rock iris, snowdrops and a few mini-daffy-dils blooming...just not very springlike in temperature...so much for global warming this week!
