I love it when the toddler wears our shoes. These are his dad's and really a metaphor for his perspective in general: he'll do anything daddy does.
I've been falling short of my own big dreams lately. I did manage to finally un-bury the drafting table in my studio again, and hubby helped me put together the awesome shelves my in-laws gave me for Christmas earlier this week. But that's as far as I've gotten. All the boxes are still on the floor and all the things I had planned to make for the little guys new room, well, let's just say that I bought some denim for curtains.
My whole plan was derailed by a 104 degree fever, a trip to urgent care, and another ear infection. The poor little toddler has been waking up from extremely short naps crying and whimpering in his sleep at night. Currently it's 9 AM and he'd still out like a light. I know that letting him sleep this late will throw off our schedule for the whole day, but we don't need to be anywhere this morning and who can wake that? Especially when I know how much he needs the sleep to get well.
My master plan included finishing stuff for the toddlers room first, moving on to finish and few small things for the baby on the way, and then getting all my work done for the show hubby and I have planned together for June. Since the toddler was born at 37 weeks and we're already to 31 weeks with this one, I figure I can only count on 6 more weeks to get this all done.
"Think it'll work?"
"It would take a miracle."
