Neglectful little me

So I've been swamped. I've sewn and knitted myself into a slump of tiredness. And in the process I've neglected my blog, to thank a really super sweet swap partner, and myself.

Shara sent me an awesome hanging valentine as a part of the Sweet Goodness Hanging Hearts Swap. I looks great hanging on a peg below our chalkboard menu in the dinning room. I've had this for almost two weeks, so I feel really bad about taking so long to get a decent thank you posted.

The baby shower for my sister-in-law was on Saturday afternoon, so I can finally share photos of all the stuff I made for her. I'll get to that later tonight or tomorrow. After her shower I came home and fed the toddler dinner, got him to bed, and crashed on the couch. I had actually reached the point where I just plain needed to do nothing.

Then yesterday afternoon I took some time for a much needed soak in the tub. This pregnancy is going well over all, but I'm developing a leg full of nasty varicose veins that are really disturbing me. I have an appointment tomorrow to have them looked at by my doctor, but I don't think anyone can set my mind at ease about short and swimsuit season. Seriously, no one should have to endure looking at the grossness that's growing in/on my left leg. Fortunately, they're not that painful yet, and, truthfully, we're trying to prevent the situation from becoming worse.

The toddler also went to his first day of parent's day out at a nearby church today. I've enjoyed some quiet at the house while I cleaned off my desk and cleaned out the linen closet. Now, I can't wait to get down to my studio and clean up all the stuff I had to dump down there in the process! All the while I'm promising myself that I won't be neglectful again.

I can attest to the fact that every single thing you made for the shower was awesome. And the "packaging" was the best! It was beautiful to look at and will be the best to use. I know the mom-to-be was excited!

I am glad to see you guys are ok, I was starting to worry when my emails went unanswered! I hope your valentines arrive safely. I mailed them on Saturday, but I was unsure if I had your city right. Oy.

The varicose veins are gross but you can get them treated.
