Maybe it's just because I have a toddler at home this year, but it seems like this winter is never going to end. We really miss walking to the park everyday, the exercise and the hours of play outside these walls! I'm terribly afraid that by the time it's warm enough to head outdoors again, I'll be too pregnant to make it very far!
In the spirit of keeping warm, I also included some jackets and a sweater in the basket full of love. The two jackets are both the Sweet Wee pattern from Amy Karol's Bend the Rules Sewing. I did bias binding all the way down the fronts and added a button and buttonhole to each. They'll be too big for the little guy this year, but they should be comfortably roomy next year. I love this pattern! It's very fast to make and can be tailored to a lot of different looks. I used one of these jackets for the toddler's Halloween costume.

I also knit a baby kimono for the little guy, since he'll need something to keep warm with this year. I used the pattern in Mason-Dixon Knitting and opted for two small pearl-like buttons instead of the ties. This is Peaches & Cream on size 7 needles, and I finished it in about a week. I'm planning on knitting a second one just like this for my own baby.

Hope you manage to stay warm this weekend!
