I'm actually trying to post twice a day just to get caught up! We've got so very much going on, I'm terribly afraid that this pregnant mommy is going to forget something really important. We're currently moving hubby's home office into our guest room, my desk into our bedroom, and turning the old home office into a new room for the toddler. All the while, I'm trying to get my studio put together in the basement. (Yep, I've been at that for almost two years, but I really want to get it done before we have the next baby!) And I'm working on things for the babe, finishing a few things for my sister-in-law that weren't done in time for the shower, perfecting the bag pattern, starting work on a joint show with hubby for June and planning a shop update. Oh, and I'm trying to sit still long enough to prop my left ankle up above my heart for 20 or 30 minutes a couple of times each day!
There. I said it. My plan is to completely overhaul and update Two Ply Two before the baby is born. I don't want to make any promises, but I'm definitely changing from yarn and stitch markers to fibery stuff in general. I hope to have some sewn items in the mix, along with some hand spun yarn and maybe even a few sets of stitch markers. Keep watching, I'll hopefully post a date for the update soon.
In the mean time, I figured I'd share more of the things that were in that basket. I'd love to say that this is the last time you'll see one of those bunnies, but I bet one of my kids will do something cute with one someday and you'll end up seeing them again. This is the one I made for the little guy along with a pillow. I used an eco-friendly pillow form from JoAnn's, batik fabric from Harper's for the front, and a random flannel remnant for the back:

I added a little edge detail in the form of a length of bias cut fabric folded in half. I'm not entirely happy with how I handled the corners on the "piping", so if I did this again I would try something different. I actually pinned this into the seam that holds the front and back together before I sewed it and ran it all through the machine at once. I think I knew what I wanted the corners to do; I just didn't know how to make it happen.
I also put the diaper burp cloths in the basket. At one point someone asked for a few more pictures, so I decided to show you guys one of them unfolded.

I should only have one more post of stuff that was in that huge basket. Then I still need to tell you about all the awesome stuff that Robyn sent me. By that point, I should be far enough into the Hoover blanket for my next babe that can post some in process pictures. I can say that I'm loving working with the Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton.
