Another item hiding in the basket I gave my sister-in-law was this bag. And I'm going to brag a bit here; I designed this puppy. This is actually version 2 of the bag, and there will definitely be a version 3 before it is all said and done. Ultimately, my plan is to write a PDF pattern to sell at Two Ply Two.
Version 1 was quite similar, but completely different colors, only had one interior pocket, and did not have to drawstring top. I sent it along stuffed full of goodies to Robyn as a part of the vintage heart swap. (I got my package from Robyn yesterday! I promise to share soon.)
This one has exterior pockets on each side, a drawstring top, and interior pockets designed for all the things a mom will need with infant and toddler. Inside looks like this:

The finished bag is 12 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 14 inches tall, plus the length of the handles. The end pockets inside have elastic at the top and are lined with terry cloth to absorb condensation off of baby bottles, sippies, and mom's water. There are also large pockets at the bottom for the all important change of clothes and smaller ones near the top for those little things like spoons, nursing pads, lanolin, etc.
I'm also thinking of a version for knitters with interior pockets designed for knitting needles, scissors, measuring tape, and the like. I'll be sure to let you know as progress is made and when patterns are posted at Two Ply Two.
