I always liked U2, and the song title fits today like a charm. We grocery shopped this morning; I actually want to eat food and cook again! I'm craving fruit. I think this is probably a good thing.
It was 61 here this morning. Not just un-winter-like, but decidedly Spring-like. We topped out near 70 with sunny skies and a light breeze this afternoon. And since that's just not supposed to happen in January in Kansas, the toddler and I spent our afternoon at the park. There was not a stone unturned in the close to 3 hours that we played at Antioch Park today.
He took a 2 hour nap just after his lunch today. So I managed to cross an entire sewing project off of my list. The burp cloths are finished. I think I used these Gerber cloth diapers. I cut flannel prints into 5 by 17.5 inch pieces, turned under and stitched the short edges, pressed the long edges under and then top stitched the entire piece onto the center panel of the diaper. They were pretty easy, but if I made them again I would cut my fabric 5.25 by 18 inches. And since these aren't for me and I've always wanted some, I bet I make more of them in the near future. I wish I had more pictures, but the battery in my camera died right after I took the one up top.
I'm off to print the Wee Bunny pattern. Two or maybe three of these little guys are on my list next. And I'm still working away on that log cabin blanket.
Just ran across your blog...Today I have been looking for a cute pattern for burp cloths. These are really cute. Perfect....Thank you for sharing. Could you send me more pictures of your cute project....
