The Show Must Go On...

So I tried very hard to upload the postcard for the show that tomorrow night for you guys, but the file is too large and iphoto is being very odd about importing it to resize. I would normally bug hubby to help me solve these problems, but he's had a rough week and really needs to concentrate on the work he's doing right now.

So, here's the info:

My work (hand-dyed quilts, Powell Gardens II from 2005 shown above) plus that of my friend Alyce Dyer-Hall at The Imago, 217 W. 19th Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Leave a comment if you'd like for me to email you the actual invite; I'll be happy to do so.

The show is not hung yet. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh? The Gallery is getting some new windows today! We didn't want all that dust on our artworks, so we waited. That's the reason, really it is. It has nothing to do with the fact that I put the last hand-stitched label on the final piece less than an hour ago.

I'm planning on hanging the show when the toddler gets up from his very late afternoon nap. It's been a challenge. Target no longer carries the black drapery rings I use to hang my work, so I had to steel some from a curtain in our house! And they have all kinds of fishing stuff, but no actual fishing line. I'm planning on using thread instead. And I really hope it works...
