My secret pal came through for me big time. I have no clue who she is, but I got a third package yesterday that rocked just as much as the other two. She sent me the above banana silk yarn in that awesome green. It rocks. And it's so timely. The toddler has learned to say "nana" for banana. It's adorable and he asks for "nana" at almost every meal and snack time. All we have to do is ask him if he wants to eat...

She also sent this stuff:

Which rocks too. She included tons of awesome chocolates. A belly bar; I'll be eating it for snack tomorrow. It was so sweet of her to think of the littlest one. There was also a really cool Susan Bates knitting counter; I SO need this! And a bar of soap from a hilarious company called "You Stink Soap". How'd she know that I smell bad? ;)

While I was shooting pix of the awesome stuff from my secret pal, I also took some of my stash supplementation and the fabrics I bought the other day.

I bought this yarn simply because it looks exactly like my sister's hair did. I know that that's kind of creepy, but it's also endearing, right? I have know idea what I'll do with it. It's a partialy felted handspun from a local spinner.

I also bought some roving from the same spinner. I fell in love with the colors, but I won't spin it until after my next class at the beginning of December.

This awesome handspun is for the new babe. It's wool, so I don't want it to be right next to his/her skin. And I'm still mulling over my choices for what to use it for. It want to make something really special with it. Any ideas? It's pretty soft...

Here are the fabrics I picked out that I mentioned in a previous post. I don't want to say here who or what they're for, but I will post pix later, when the items are finished. I might even wait until the gift had been given...

And finally, the fabric I bought for my upcoming bundle of joy. I fell in love with all the little dots and circles. I had to get this, and I will probably use it for burp clothes and or bibs. I always quilt with my hand-dyed, so it definitely won't be going there.

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures. I'll have more of works in progress soon.

I've been away and had to catach up on your blog this morning. What a lot is going on in your life right now; good things, congratulations.

Wanted you to know I am loving the bag you knit me in the spring. I use it for EVERYTHING, latest use was to hold a load of knitting books while visiting my sister; it worked great. Sister's friends loved it too.
