I read a lot of blogs. It's one of those things; once you start reading blogs it leads you to other blogs. It didn't take me to long to get to the point where I needed help managing all those blogs, so I set up my Yahoo! to help me out.
It seems to me that it's pretty easy to tell a well read blog; you can generally tell a blog that has more readers by looking at the number of comments. You know, blogs like the Mason-Dixon Knitting blog that get over 100 comments on each entry. I dream of having a well read blog.
I was never one of the popular kids in school; I was way too creative for that. And yet, somehow, when I taught at Rogers Middle School a few years ago, I was part of the "in" crowd. It was nice until we got a new principal who micromanaged everything. I ended up leaving that year after I had to step on her toes for major ethical reasons. It was a truly providential move; one that was really good for all, but that's another story.
As I get more and more blogs in the collection that I read, I notice that I'm finding more and more "popular" blogs that I like. I've also noticed that most of us blog about the same sorts of things: the things that we know. We blog about our kids, our knitting, our sewing, our spouses, the environment, etc.
So, truthfully, I'm convinced that I have readers. I know that you're out there. Linda and Kerry were kind enough to comment before when I asked this. Pipe up; leave a comment and let me know who you are. If I don't already read your blog, I'll add you! I promise!

Posted by: Tamy at September 24, 2007 05:31 PMHi Jen!
Thanks so much for reading our blog. I think blogging is pretty much the safest, lo-cal addiction out there--the longer I'm a part of this incredible community of knitters, the more I wonder how I got along before the Internet existed.
Happy knitting to ya . . .
