I really, really can't believe it happened. Look who commented on MY blog. Really, go look at this previous entry.
Yep, that's Ann Shayne from Mason-Dixon Knitting. She actually came to visit my humble little internet abode and bothered to leave a comment. I've been enjoying her and Kay's banter for a while now, but I never expected them to notice!
It's really been a stellar week so far. On Monday I managed to finish the two little onesie's above for some friends from church who had a baby boy a couple of months ago. I'm pretty pleased with them, and I learned a ton about how not to sew something on a onesie. I'm planning on more practice; then I might even add them to the mix of stitch markers at the etsy shop. Let me know what you think about that idea.
Yesterday was even better. Hubby got an unexpected rebate from one of his vendors that will pay for our health insurance for the next year. And we got word about something really cool from Knitty that I can't share with you just yet. I'll just have to keep you in suspense. I promise I'll fill you in as soon as I get the word from them.
And if that wasn't enough, my secret pal sent this:

The POUND of Peaches 'n Cream is the exact same colors as the nursery at our house. I couldn't have made a better choice if I had ordered it myself. And I've been drooling over Amy Karol's book, Bend the Rules Sewing, ever since it came out. My secret pal rocks.
And I have even more good news to share, but I think that's enough happiness for one post. I'll just wait a while longer on the other good stuff, ok?
How is it that so much good stuff can happen to little 'ole me in just two days? (And today isn't looking too bad, so far...) I'm feeling really blessed!
Oh-no, now I need to exchange your birthday present!

Cute shirts! I was wondering, is the Peaches n Creme much softer than the Sugar and Cream they sell at the big box stores? About the same?
