I was reminded during one of many conversations with my mom the other day of my most recent experience doing the Cotton-Eyed Joe. My mom has been moved into a personal care home; she's not at all happy about this, but that's a whole other story. She told me that she was trying to teach the other ladies (mostly Alzheimer's patients) the Hokey-Pokey. I told her that I'd done the Hokey-Pokey on roller skates in the last few years. That's what you do when you teach middle school and chaperon a skating field trip. This reminded me of doing the Cotton-Eyed Joe with 5th and 6th graders at the end of my last year of teaching. I was 7 months pregnant. I got a LOT of laughs.
Truthfully, I think we all do the Cotton-Eyed Joe more than we want to admit. I take a few steps forward, then a few steps back all the time. I guess it's okay as long as you are still making forward progress.
This is what my studio looks like this week:

I may not have gotten rid of any more of the boxes, but I am making progress on a secret project to surprise hubby. I can't even give any hints! He's too smart; he'd figure it out. I'll unveil it next week; I hope! I haven't painted the cabinet yet; which explains why I haven't unpacked more boxes.
I'm just about finished with those stairs, though. I thought I was done. I even washed my brush. Then I took a closer look and took a few steps back, so to speak. They need one last coat of chocolate brown.
I have been knitting. I've added a few rows to the back of the start sweater for the baby. This is at the expense of my stock of stitch markers. I'll have to get some more made, and fast! SP11 is underway and I'm a vendor!
And for the best part! I not only have tins, I have a logo!

And I printed labels! I finally have a complete product! I'll be posting items to etsy before you know it!

So, I may be doing the dance, but I'm definitely making forward progress.
I really like your label! It is lovely!
Congratulations on the progress with your endeveaur!
Hugs
