I made a list of summer knitting goals a while back in a post:
My summer knitting goals:
Finish the bag I'm working on now and one for my Spring Felted Bag exchange spoilee.
Try knitting socks.
Try knitting lace.
Knit a sweater for the baby to wear this fall.
Learn to knit miters.
Try out entrelac.
Use up the strange stuff I have in my stash that I have no clue what to do with. Or swap it with someone who will really appreciate it.
Find a money tree so I can enhance my stash! (with stuff I'll actually use...)
Plus, I have the yarn and patterns for the socks and lace from my awesome SP10 pal!
I was really ambitious! I forgot how I don't knit as much during the summer, or maybe it was that I forgot that I had other projects I wanted to do as well. From that list, I finished both the bags. The sweater for the baby is currently a back. See:

And a detail of the ribbing at the bottom:

And I haven't touched the socks or the lace. Technically, I haven't touched the miters either, but I did start the Mason-Dixon 9 patch dishrag that has miters in it this week:

I know, I know; I'm breaking my one-project-at-a-time rule for knitting. And it's worse than it looks; I also have a little something for my secret pal on the needles. I just needed a little break from the sweater when I finished the back, so I started something for my pal. Then the dishcloth cotton I was using had to be a dishcloth too. And, well, I had to help it get there. Technically I'm still working on my knitting goals; I'll start the miters tonight. It's just that I hear that school started, does that mean that summer's over? Or can I wait until September 21(ish) when it's official before I say I failed to achieve my goals?
And then there's all the other stuff. I've been doing a lot of sewing. I bought that pattern I wanted from simplicity. I can't wait to share pics! But I'll keep you in suspense. And the etsy shop...
I think I'll go make some stitch markers.
