I MUST make a blanket similar to this one. I can tell that as soon as I start this, I won't be able to stop. If I plan just right, it'll get big enough to keep me warm while I work on it just as it starts getting cold outside...
I became a HUGE fan of log cabin knitting as soon as I learned about it, before I even started the baby blanket. As a quilter, I've log cabined with fabric. It's a great method. It's flexible. It can be as easy and relaxed or as formal as you want. You can plan ahead, or go with the flow. The artist in me loves the free-form control.
Now I just need gobs of the right weight of cotton yarn and more time than I know what to do with. The time might be a bigger problem than the yarn...
I still don't have a logo. I think I know what I want it to look like, so I can't really ask one of my designer friends to whip something simple up for me. And I can't seem to design it myself for a lack of appropriate software. It use to be that every new computer shipped with a simple paint program. My mac has no such application. That's really all I need (I think...). But I may have to convince hubby to let me borrow his laptop for a while tonight to try my hand at Illustrator. Wish me luck! I need to have it finished by tomorrow.
