It's Friday, so here are today's studio pics.

This is a little depressing for me. I've spent several hours down there cleaning and putting things away, but you can hardly tell a difference in the pictures. I do want to note that there is a large box completely missing in this picture. The drafting table was almost completely clean until I unpacked that box last night. Now I need to find an appropriate storage device for the rolled prints and posters that were in that box. We lost the plastic trash can we used before the move in the infamous fire; which is just as well as I wasn't really happy with that anyway...

I do have my sewing table back. I didn't post a picture of this before, but it was also covered with stuff from previous projects. Now it's all cleaned up and I can get my sewing machine moved back downstairs soon!

And the cabinet is clean! And on it's back for a very good reason: I had to glue the Masonite back on the back in one corner. Now I have to add legs to one side and remove the hardware for painting. I'm going to wait to start on that until I get more stuff out of the way.
In general, it's taking me longer to get this done than I thought that it would. I'm finding deciding what to put where and how to organize things is harder than I thought it would be. Maybe that's because I don't have enough storage items. Maybe I have enough storage, I just don't have the right system for all the stuff I have yet. I'm not sure, but I'll keep working on it one bite at a time.
I other chewing news: The dog ate a plastic bib. And the baby is teething. Again. Or at least I think that's what this round of general crabiness and drooling is about. Wednesday's round of one year shots didn't help things any, either.
It seems as though this week has been full of tough things. I hope you're week has been easier than ours. We'll keep eating the elephant one bite at a time at our house.
One nice thing about your studio, even if it isn't tidy as you'd like it to be, is it's 'someplace' for your own things. So think positive, you will accomplish the tidy part as time moves on. Enjoy your 'bundle of joy' right now while he's a babe-in-arms. They are so precious and only little once.
