I posted a couple of days ago about the Inspired by Nature KAL. My awesome sister-in-law delivered the last of the yarn to our house last night right at bedtime for the baby. I have two skeins of both the sage green and the reddish-brown, but figured that I didn't need to include extras in the photo.

And here's the progress I've made on the blanket.

It doesn't look like much, but I'm really excited about it and pleased with it so far. Rows and rows and rows of garter stitch are in my future. I've already learned why to bind off on a right side row. In short, the blanket will end up having a front and a back, and if you don't pick up stitches going the right direction in your cast on or bound off rows it's darned near impossible to do it. Now that I'm a few blocks in, I'm able to follow the pattern of the blocks to know which way to cast off.
I'm gonna get back to knitting.
You've made great progress so far! Mindless garter stitch is great when you want to watch TV (or mind the baby!) The colors look great - I can't wait to see the finished blanket.
