I finally got tagged

May 27, 2007

I've seen this meme on many a blog recently and Kena from the Spring Felted Bag Exchange tagged me. Here goes:

The rules, copy/pasted from my tagger's blog:"Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag 7 others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog."

1. I'm a native Texan; therefore, I collect stars and drive a very large truck.
2. I'm a fan of protecting the environment and healthy/organic eating. I know that the truck sounds like a poor choice given this fact, but I don't drive it far most of the time and I do haul things in it frequently enough to justify keeping it in my mind.
3. I taught art in public schools for 8 years. The first 6 were in the inner city in Kansas City, MO; the last 2 were in the burbs in Olathe, KS.
4. I loved teaching in the inner city.
5. I have a mental list of life-long goals that includes things like mastering another language, running a marathon, visiting every state in the union, earning a terminal degree, and going to Africa and Ireland among others. I've always planned on making a notebook or scrapbook about my list, but I've never gotten around to it.
6. I have only completed one item on my list - I read the entire bible in one year.
7. I love to garden, cook and entertain.

Ok, so I'm going to tag seven people. Some of them are friends, some of them are in swaps I'm involved in. If you've been tagged, I probably read your blog.

1. Linda
2. Kerry
3. Elabeth
4. Diane
5. Tracey
6. Nichole
7. Gwen

I taught elementary school for many years and now work at our local university with aspiring elementary teachers. I LOVE art in elementary schools!
