I think I might have finished typing the last entry and posted it before it stopped raining. Apparently all I have to do is complain about the rain on my blog and it magically disappears. I'm thankful. And not just because it makes my life easier since the baby is happier at the park. I think all those folks along the mighty MO river who have evacuated due to flooding are thankful too. It seems as though many of them are going to have houses to go home to soon. It also seems as though there are other whole towns under water. Spring can be crazy here, what with the tornados and floods. Please know that my prayers are with those of you who have houses and/or businesses that are under water or have been blown away or if you've lost someone you know.
Hopefully next week will be easier in the Midwest.
We, however, have been drying out. The dog has stopped tracking mud in on the floors, and hubby thinks it might be dry enough to mow this afternoon. Now that the yard is dryng out, we'll have to get to work on the drainage issues and landscaping.
Only one problem with that; I went to a meeting at church on Monday night and volunteered to sew some pillows. I had no idea how many pillows I was volunteering for. I cut parts for 11 pillows yesterday, and I'm no where near halfway through the fabric they gave me. I think I'll be busy during nap time for the nest couple of weeks working on this. I guess that means I've escaped the shovel for a little while longer... ;)
