Cascading along

May 07, 2007

It's raining here. It's been raining here a lot lately. Our sump pump has actually run about every 30 seconds for at least the last 24 hours. We haven't seen the sun since Saturday, and that was only for part of the day. And there's a chance of rain every day this week! The rain just keeps cascading down... I'm thinking about building an ark. I bet that Noah's neighbors would not have thought he was crazy if it was raining like this when he started on his ark.

And more cascade should be on its way to my home soon. I ordered seven skeins of cascade 220 from someone on ebay. I plan on using it for a felted bag for the Spring Felted Bag Exchange. I was blessed with some spending money from my hubby's Paypal account. He takes such good care of me!

I have to say that I'm glad this cascade is not the liquid kind. We've had just about enough of that around here. The basement is staying dry today, but was soaked yesterday morning. For some reason the sump just decided not to turn itself on. And it's a new sump...

I'm actually knitting something as well. I started a mindless basketweave dish towel with a couple of skeins of crafters cotton I found in my stash. I guess I'll figure out how to use that stuff down there after all. Oh, and I found a bag of yarn from my last trip to the LYS that hadn't been put in the bin. That means there's two skeins of Blue Sky organic cotton just waiting for me to turn them into a sweater for the baby.

We'll let you know if it ever stops raining. We'll also let you know if we float away. Hope it's sunny in your neighborhood today.

I'm so having the same problems LOL I need something mindless, as I'm suffering from a huge case of startitis after a sock disaster. How exciting and fun to get new yarn!! I loved your why I felt post - thanks for sharing it :)
