Ok, I think I must be the only knitter with this problem. Not only do I not have any UFO's (unfinished objects), I have a dwindling stash. I don't have anything on my needles, either. I have yarn for socks and a lace scarf from my secret pal, but I'm not ready to tackle anything I have to think that much about right now.
I need mindless knitting. I need something I can cast on and make fast progress on. And my entire stash will fit in one rubbermaid container. Most of what I have left is yarn that I can't figure out what to do with. A good portion of it I inherited from my mom, and that yarn is so old that I'm afraid to use it for fear of looking like I got stuck in That 70's Show.
What's a knitter to do without a stash? Most of us would just go shopping. If you run out of yarn, you just buy more. When your stash shrinks so small you can't find anything to knit, it's a good excuse to restock, right?
Well, my excuse is here. I'm just waiting for one of my favorite yarn stores to have a big sale. Oh, and for money to start growing on trees...
