This post is not for the squeamish. Especially the medically squeamish.
1. Let my son cry himself to sleep. Now that he's handling night time pretty well, we'll be starting on naptime soon. I've tried everything to get him to go down awake without crying. It's not happening. I've been working on it for 4 months. Don't worry, the justification is for me - not you!
2. Operate on my own foot using an x-acto knife. I made the HUGE mistake of trying to sweep something off the deck with my foot this morning. This resulted in a 1/2 inch long, 1/8 inch wide splinter in the bottom of my foot. I started by sterilizing a needle. I needed something bigger. So, I sterilized a brand new x-acto blade and ended up making a half inch long incision. I'm glad it was in an extremely caloused part of my foot, there weren't a lot of nerve endings. Actually, it hurts worse now than it did coming out!
3. Clean up bloody diarrhea from next to our front door. It was the dog, not the boy. And she's fine now. Back to chasing squirrels and rabbits, and visiting the neighbor's garage sale without permission after escaping the backyard.
4. Neglect cleaning our house for more than a week or two. With all the baby holding, vomiting, diarrhea, and fevers around here lately, I haven't gotten anything cleaned in so long I'm embarassed to tell!
I'm sure that there are more, but that's all for now. I actually did all of these this week. And the house still hasn't been cleaned!
I haven't gotten much knitting done lately. I've been spinning some, but now my right foot hurts too much to treadle. I imagine that I'll get back to knitting since I can't spin. I did manage to knit through a whole pound of fisherman's wool last weekend making a bag that I plan on felting. It's really an experiment.
