The sweet smell of...

April 14, 2007

The last few days have been rather odiferous (sp?) at our house.

...puke. We've had the usual amount of spit up. DS has acid reflux that he seems to not be out-growing. We're spending a fortune on Zantac and I'm doing tons of laundry. He just pukes a lot. The biggest hassel is the smell... I'll be happy when the smell of sour milk is gone from our lives.

...dog farts? And last night Keva, our 85 pound fur covered beast, had gas. This was like no other gas she'd had before. It didn't help any that she hadn't had a bath in a while and it was raining. She walked in from the back yard and the smell of ripe, wet dog smacked us in the faces. And then the farting started. The trouble with dog farts is that they sometimes make the dog happy. Happy dog means wagging tail. That means the odor was at times self-propelled! I'm not sure what she ate, but I wish I knew so I could keep her from getting it again. Next time she'll get banished until she gets it out of her system. We had to light a candle just to keep her upstairs with us. And she was still at it this morning!

I've also been spinning quite a bit. I'd love to post pictures of the yarn, but I'm sending it to my secret pal, so it will have to stay top secret. That means that we've had to deal with the smell of wet wool. I set the twist in yarn with warm water in our kitchen sink. Wet wool smells a lot like wet dog. Gee, wonder why that is...

I sure am glad that I don't smell like that when I get wet.

That brings me to the scarf. It is finished! I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I can't post the promised pictures. It occurred to me that it would also be going to my secret pal. I'll take pics and post them once I've revealed myself.

Our first puked a lot & we later discovered that he was lactose intolerant, while he was nursing I had to take dairy out of my diet & the puking stopped!

LOL Your dog farts and happy dog with wagging tail description literally made me laugh out loud - it's so, SO true!
