UFO's

March 16, 2007

Don't think Roswell. Think lurking in a basket somewhere. Or in a box in the basement.

I've discovered that UFO's in the world of online knitters are Unfinished Objects not unidentified flying things. I'm proud to say that I do not have any knitting UFO's. I've managed to finish everything I've started. This is only due to the fact that I had a baby 8 months ago; I've spent a ton of time knitting in the evening simply because it was the only way to wind down and it filled my need to do something creative.

I do have one UFO on the ironing board in my studio. It's a quilt I started for my son; the top and the back are both completely pieced and pressed. I'm to the point where I need to assemble the sandwich (Yes, that is what it's called!), and I can't seem to find a block of time to get it done. I'm too tired in the evening to work on something so large. I'll get there eventually...

I suppose that you could call the scarf I just started today a UFO. I'm working on Wavy from Knitty's winter 06 issue. I'm actually using a lavender cotton from my stash. I'll send this to my secret pal if it turns out well.

Maybe I'll even get on the ball and post some pictures one of these days...

Wow that's impressive! I haven't been knitting long, and even I have UFOs lurking over in my craft corner haha. I DO hope to finish them all someday, just think I have ADD when it comes to knitting projects ;)
