There’s No Place Like Home
We are home! We tucked two little boys happily into their own beds tonight, and we are very much looking forward to climbing into our own bed tonight. I think we were all a bit more relaxed for our bedtime routine tonight too. Dorothy was right…
I figure that most have you have seen plenty of things around my house, and like many of you, I have two homes: the one in which I live and the one where I grew up. While I didn’t grow up in the house my dad lives in now, I did live there for a bit. And it is the house my parents have lived in for nearly 17 years. My mom doesn’t live there anymore; she’s in assisted living. Even though my dad has changed quite a few things since moving her out, it’s still their house. I leave you tonight with a few photos of things I connect with in my old home.
(Yep, that’s me as a baby!)
There are always bubbles at their house. My mom is a HUGE fan of them, and we enjoyed them a lot in the slightly warmer weather (you know, where things don’t freeze…) The little brother even blew his very first bubble!
I really hope that you get to sleep in your own bed tonight or soon…

I’m sure you’re happy to be back in your own space. Enjoy the time of resuming the rythyms of home. Any fun projects on the horizon?

What a sweet trip through your home. So glad that you have a safe return, and good to have you back

There is something about childhood homes…it makes you think about what you are creating for your own children doesn’t it. I love the Native American statue and the “God bless the moon” prayer…we have a blessing card that has that same prayer on it.
Sleep well…there really is no place like home;)
